Restrict Appointment Booking to Approved Clients

As far as I can tell this isn't possible with the way Bookings is set up but I'm curious if others have found workarounds. We basically have a form that let's people say they are interested in talking about Product A, Product B, or both. We have dedicatedIssues when taking a booking backoffice admin for in person booking for a known existing customer.
We are having some problems, with back office bookings. When existing customers return in person to book, we cannot find them, MOST of the time. We search in CRM & Bookings database.
