Zoho IM Function in Zoho Mail/Dashboard
when I use Chrome, i do not have problems sending IM chats to other staff. but others who use internet explorer cannot send or reply. When I hit enter on Chrome it sends out the reply/msg. When they hit enter in ie, it returns and goes to a new line. how can a user of ie use the chat function within the zohomail dashboard?
Ideas for Zoho Chat improvement
For what it's worth, here I intend to list my ideas as a rather recent Zoho adept: It would be great if Zoho Chat could “remember” which service tab was selected the last time, and load this tab automatically when the chat tab loads. And could there be an option to make the chat status of the services visible inside the Mail tab? Maybe at the bottom, like the message counters. Ideally, it should be possible to assign custom names to the contacts of all services. If you have co-workers who insist
zoho chat - desktop notification
Am I missing something? Great I embed a support chat in my wiki and website Easy to use... except I have to be on the zoho chat browser window to notice that someone has joined. Even if I am on another zoho page. The firefox plugin doesn't notify about a new chat starting (ie. someone types in their name in the embedded chat and awaits to be let in). Desktop or browser plugin to notify please? Or is there already and I just cannot find it? Dr John Kenworthy

Some visitors don't see the messages I am sending them. I have zoho chat on my website. I can see text being sent to me but visitor does not see what I am typing. Can someone help?

Logo Display Problem in IE8 + IE9
For some reason Internet Explorer 8 and 9 shows our company logo stretched. Firefox and Chrome do not do this... I have tried multiple resolutions and logos, all with the same result. What is the exact resolution that will work for IE9? I will make a logo to spec. Below is a comparison between the Firefox (left) and IE9 (right):
Chatbar frame + a second chatbar inside
Hello. I'm having an issue with the Zoho chatbar popping up twice on my screen. I'll explain. To log into Zoho, I use mail.zoho.com. This would guarantee that all my available apps would be displayed to the left side of my screen. At the very bottom of my screen is my chatbar. Just by looking at it, I can only surmise that these are displayed in frames. Now when I click on either the CRM or People apps, it loads them in the middle of the screen. Basic stuff, right? But then I notice that these two
User can see me as a contact but I can't see them.
They can chat with me by clicking my name in thier contacts but I cannot initiate a chat because its not listed in my contacts. I have tried to add via zoho id and email address many times. It says contact added successfully but it never shows in contact list. And when he starts a chat with me it shows his name a s 'rick'. In his account and with other chat contacts, his full name appears.
Video and Audio Chat?

Zoho Groups not working
Hi all. Recently added my first Group to my zoho chat, and it isn't as functional as I'd hoped it to be. 1. The chat window does not receive chat messages, most of the time 2. It will work intermittently, once or twice a day, with a few lines of conversation making it to the chat box, then stop again I am the only one in the office that this is happening to, other users are fine so I dont believe it's the group set up. Added Zoho groups through an invitation link, and when that didn't work well
Chat on the side navigation please
I like Zoho's side navigation system. Is there any way we could get the Chat function to be placed in the side navigation pane? It's not an earth-shattering problem, but I find it mildly annoying that I have to go to the top menu and then pick Chat to view the main Chat area. Interestingly, when I am in the main Chat area, Chat does appear in the side navigation area. Please fix this. Thank you. - Bal

Is this intentional? The button is still there, but no one can use it to send an image or file anymore. It was working a few days ago.

Deleted Contacts
I noticed that some of my contacts has been missing. But I could see a pop up message every time they change actions (available, busy, change shout out etc.) But when I tried to add them again a message stating that they already exist in my contact list. Attached is the copy of the said error.

adding non-zoho users to chat
when i click add contact and attempt to fill in the email field with an email id of someone outside of zulu, the field below (zoho id) has my id selected. So when i hit add it fails to send the invite ? The help says just put in the email address if they aren't a zoho user - I'm trying to do just that. This seems like a prettty basic function - what am i missing here?
Chat API to see if a member is online?
Hey there! I'm planning on fading the chat window into my website using jQuery after a certain amount of time - kind of like: The user has spent so much time on this page now, they probably have a question. Obviously it doesn't make sense to display the chat window if none of the support representatives are online. Is there a way to use JavaScript to check that ahead of time? Cheers, Christian
Word-wrapping
Long words (or computer phrases like long file paths) get lost in the shoutbox. This is because neither scrollbars nor word-wrapping are enabled. I suggest adding this to your CSS... .msgtxt { word-wrap: break-word }
Way to auto-focus the chat box
I popup the Zoho Chat shoutbox dynamically, and I'd like to auto-focus the typing area when doing this. I understand that it does not make sense to auto-focus in most cases, but in this case the user has asked for that chat to come up. So it would be nice to have a parameter to say this.
WCAG
The box you type shoutbox messages into does not have a marked-up label element, which is required for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. I have a blind user rightly pointing this out to me, so I think it should be fixed, along with a general review of your widgets to make sure they meet WCAG. It would not take you long, it's quite simple work really :).
Invites to Chat group members
I set up a group for the Chat application and in the group view screen in the 'Pending invitations' screen I still have all the emails of my selected group members--- when I talk to them no one has received any invitations... what am I doing wrong? Thank you Natalia

Is there anyway to notify via email that a chat has been received?
Include Zoho Chat into standard applications & Chat's "All" tab be default
I have to manually add Zoho chat to application sidebar. It would be nice to just point and click to add this handy application. I guess because it's still beta? Also, I'd like to have an option to set which tab be appear in Chat as default. Currently "Zoho" tab is default, but "All" tab makes more sense.
Can't rename contacts
Last week, I was able to chat with contacts, and then rename them by clicking (or double-clicking, can't remember) the title bar of the chat window. This week, I can't. Is there an easy way to rename contacts?
Buzz disable, Email hide
Hi, thanks for such a beautiful and rich Web application. I have two questions: 1. How I can disable Buzz in Chat? Because its really annoying when you have a big group an somebody starts to make fun... *I found an option in settings but it didn't help. Chat is still shaking. 2. How can I hide my email and other group emails to be visible to other users (when mouse is over contact).
Can users record and send voice messages to me?

Personal group members keep disappearing
I have created a personal group, invited and accepted members to the group, but after awhile the accepted members disappear. Why is that?
The Zoho Curse, Almost Perfect
I don't get it. How do you release a chat product that does not allow the customer on the other side of the chat to see if someone is there? Everything works as expected except a customer has NO IDEA if the chat session is actually active. If no one on the support side answers after 60 seconds then the customer gets a "Sorry Support team is unavailable. Please try again later" message. It does not matter if the support rep is Active, Busy, Invisible or logged out. Also it would be nice to have
importing validated chat users
I have my chat contacts already validated on MSN Messenger. Does Zoho Chat see these contacts? Do they have to be re-validated through Zoho Chat? (Go through the process of adding them and Zoho sending out a confirmation email, etc.)
Zoho chat does not login
I cant login to Zoho chat from within Zoho Business, if I open it from "chat.zoho.com" then I can get in but I try from within my Zoho Business account it says "Loading...Please wait" forever and does not logs in. How I can I fix this? Thank you

Can we add a bing or other sound to signal a message? In google chat, there is a bing every time a message is sent. It is very useful.
