How to password protect a Zoho Writer document? I know the account itself is protected by Zoho Single Signon. Zoho has my favorite documents interface (love tabs!). But I hate that I have to have an internet connection to use it. Why doesn't Zoho build a desktop client of its own so we can work offline and sync with our online work? I would definitely use it.Things I'd like to see in Zoho writer
A great word processor, just as one would expect from you folks at Zoho. I've been using Zoho email for a while and now and have found it to be very reliable. A few things that would be good in Writer: The ability to export as an .epub file. Smart quotes (optional, of course) Easy creation of styles, i.e. not having to muck around with coding and uploading .css files -- e.g. the ability to have a para style that has a first line indent. Live spellcheckingspell check
I sure wish it was possible to turn off the zoho spell checker. It is much easier to just use the spell check that comes with the internet browser. Now when I right click on a misspelled word, a zoho specific window pops up which doesn't let me fix the spelling. Big pain! Love zoho tho. Don't get me wrong.Projects Integration to Writer
Hi Please, please, please add Ingeration between Projects and Writer. I've had to create custom deluge to include Projects items (Projects, Milestones, Tasks, Budgets) into Writer documents. This should be a default integration, just like CRM etc as aAlphabetical sorting needed in Docs
It is ridiculous that folder contents can not be sorted alphabetically in Zoho Docs on the Web. It is frustrating and time consuming to have to scroll down a jumbled list of files looking for the one you want, rather than going straight to it. The available options of sorting by Last Opened, Date Modified or Created Time do not help at all. I would imagine that alphabetical sorting is a basic requirement for most users.Can I share a document with someone, who is not a member?

Sometimes a person could lose connectivity to the internet while in online mode (due to weak or transient wireless signals), and then there is a problem with saving documents. At this point, if one tried to save a document one had been working online, the application returns a connection error, and all work since last save is lost. I think it would help Writer be accepted as a competitor to Word, Apple Pages etc, if it included a more 'standard' selection of fonts e.g. Times New Roman, Helvetica, Arial, Avenir etc. Many organisations have a house style for their documents and communications. To use one of the Google fonts offered changes that house style. I think Writer would look more credible as a competitor if it offered at least a few of the well known 'standards' in its font menu.Can I encrypt my documents?

Hi Z Community: I wanted to reach out the Z Community and see how users are working with Mail Merge > Sub Fields > Related Lists. This is where you have to Create Table in order to use the Sub Fields for a Related List in a merged Z Writer document. We have many documents where we need to reuse the Sub Fields and if you do to, you may have experienced the attached Oops! We can't always include an entire section of a lengthy agreement within a single table in order to access the field more than once.Suggestion to improve zoho writer

I encountered multiple times that the auto-capitalization feature of the first letter in a sentence did not search for a period at the end of the current sentence. I think this should be a requirement before suggesting the capitalization of the first letter on the next line of type. Just an idea! For what it's worth. I would like to ask for a feature request which can be useful for the blog post templates. I've created a template with subheadings that is required for blog posts. (For E.g. Introduction, Heading1, Heading2, Heading3, Conclusion). I have one question though: I write texts in both English and German and would like to set the language of a new document when starting to work on it. I'm aware that I can spell check in different languages, but is it possible to change characters like double quotes or speech marks? It seems not possible to switch to European measurement units (centimeters / millimeters) in Writer. All measures are in inches which is very confusing and unfortunately prevents Writer to be an alternative to off-line word processing software.
