Integrating with Zoho SalesIQ
Zoho SalesIQ allows you to track and interact with website visitors in real time. Integrating it with your Backstage portal helps you better understand who's visiting your event website, and how long they stay there. It also has live chat facilities to make contacting your website visitors and potential attendees easier.
Configuring SalesIQ for your portal
Link your Backstage portal with a Zoho SalesIQ portal to activate visitor tracking and live chat for all your events.
- Go to Portal Settings > Integrations > Live Chat
- The Zoho SalesIQ section will be displayed in the right pane.
- Click the Configure Now button in the Zoho SalesIQ section.
- Enter a name for your SalesIQ portal in the Create SalesIQ portal dialog box.
- Click the Create button. The SalesIQ integration panel will be displayed. The portal you just configured will be preselected in the Choose your Zoho SalesIQ portal dropdown.
- Choose one of the following options:
- Select the Chat only radio button to enable live chat for your website.
- Alternatively, select the Chat and visitor tracking radio button to enable live chat and track your visitors.
- Click the Configure button.
Integrate SalesIQ with an event
Connect your event website with SalesIQ to know who's visiting it and engage with them. The Zoho SalesIQ live chat widget will be added to your event website through which your visitors can reach you.
- Go to Portal Settings > Integrations > Live Chat
- The Zoho SalesIQ section will be displayed in the right pane.
- Click the Integrate now button in the Zoho SalesIQ section. The SalesIQ integration dialog box will appear.

Click the Connect button.
Using SalesIQ
Add the live chat and visitor tracking features to your event website through Zoho SalesIQ. Engage with your visitors, prospects, and attendees with proactive chat, and build lasting relationships. All event websites will be tracked as one website in SalesIQ, which means all visitor data will include a history of their interaction with the events in your portal.
- Go to Portal Settings > Integrations > Live Chat
- The Zoho SalesIQ section will be displayed in the right pane.
- Click the View details button in the Zoho SalesIQ section. The SalesIQ integration pop-up is displayed.
- Click the Go to SalesIQ account button to go to your account
Customize the chat widget
Give the widget a look and feel that goes well with the theme of your event website. The chat widget can be customized from your SalesIQ account to modify the appearance of the chat widget and chat window.
Keep track of website visitors
Get information on website visitors by tracking them from SalesIQ, such as how long they've been on your website, as well as information like visitor name or unique ID, country flag, time spent on the site, their visit history, and the actions they've performed in your website. You can also use advanced features that enable you to know more about the visitor before initiating a chat with them.
Answer a message from a visitor
Promptly answer queries and provide clarification to users. All conversations will be available as history in your SalesIQ account.
Note: The chat pop-up will be open on the screen for one minute. After that, these messages will be added as missed visitors to your notifications and the Missed module.
Initiate a conversation with an visitor
Start conversations with visitors, and help them figure out how they want to proceed. Use advanced tracking features to know more about the visitor before initiating a chat with them.
Disable SalesIQ integration for an event
Remove visitor tracking and live chat for your website at any time.
- Go to Portal Settings > Integrations > Live Chat
- The Zoho SalesIQ section will be displayed in the right pane.
- Click the Disconnect button. The Disconnect SalesIQ Integration dialog box will appear.
- Click the Disconnect button.
The Zoho SalesIQ integration is a paid feature enabled based on your subscription plan.
