What is a default signup form?

A signup form that lets recipients join a mailing list via the Subscribe link present in email footer link is a default signup form. You can make any signup form associated to a mailing list as default.

Open the Contacts tab and click Signup Forms. You will get the signup form list view.
Hover over any form and click the More option.
Click Make as Default option. From there, this signup form acts as the list's default signup form.
