Admins and moderators for the selected categories can use the moderation options in the Community module to ensure the content aligns with community guidelines. Admins can approve, edit, or delete posts and replies before they are published and verify the spams.

Note
- When a forum post is published in a category where moderator approval is enabled, the category moderators will receive an email with the required details.
- A maximum of 50 moderators can be added per category.
There are three types in the moderation section:
- Waiting approval
- Reported spam
- Moderated
Waiting approval
The forum posts and replies that are made by users cannot be posted directly in the help center in some cases.
For example, imagine a new user signs up anonymously to the community and tries to post inappropriate or spam content. Instead of providing access to end users to publish their posts directly, the admins can add a review process so that the posts will be sent to the admin for approval.
This way, the admins can review the forum content and then approve it for publishing to ensure that users adhere to the community guidelines.
- Clicking on a post will provide a quick view of the content, the name of the agent who created the post, and the name of the agent who updated it recently.
- The admins can select and approve multiple posts at once. They can also use the search bar to search for a specific post.
- The Approve all option allows the admin to approve all the posts that are currently awaiting review.
Reported spam
- Topics that are marked spam by the users will be listed here.
- The admin can review the posts, unmark them as spam, and edit or delete them.
Moderated
Community members can add comments or feedback to posts, but Zoho Desk lets admins or moderators choose for them to require approval before they are posted.
For example, if an announcement about early access to a feature generates high engagement, admins can choose which comments to display instead of allowing all responses to appear.
Once the post is published, admins can click the Moderate option. Then, any comments or feedback received for the post will be sent for approval.

Note
- The option to Moderate will be displayed, ONLY if Moderation is enabled for the specific category.
- Admins or moderators can select the First post if they want only the very first comment for a post to be sent for approval.
Alternatively, they can select All posts if they want all comments on the post to be sent for approval.

The Moderated section under the Moderation tab displays the list of posts that were sent for moderation.
Unmoderate a post
If you no longer want to require approval for every comment made to a post, you can open the post and click Unmoderate.
