Formatted Resume: Overview
The resumes you receive from candidates do not have consistent designs or a uniform format. To combat this, Zoho Recruit's Formatted Resume lets you generate branded resumes that you can forward to your clients. Additionally, you can choose what information you wish to share with your clients.
Let's say you're trying to submit 10 candidates for review to a Client and each resume is unique. With Zoho Recruit's Formatted Resume, you can generate branded versions using a common template and ensure the profiles you forward follow a certain format.
Availability
Profile Permission(s) Required: Accessible only by admins.
Edition Required: Available for all paid editions of the Staffing edition.
Template types
Zoho Recruit offers three types of formatted resume templates, namely, Basic, Standard, and Advanced. Each template can be customized according to your hiring needs.

The Basic Template adds a header and footer to the candidate's resume and lets you hide (redact) information such as contact details, address information, etc.
| The Standard Template arranges field data from the candidate record into sections such as Basic Info., Address Info., Professional Details, etc.
Although the various sections are customizable, certain fields can only be placed under their associated sections.

Editing Templates
Each formatted resume template can be customized based on your requirements. However, the level of customizability varies with each template. Follow the instructions given below to edit formatted resume templates in Zoho Recruit.
Basic Template
- Go to Setup > Resume Management > Formatted Resume Settings > Default Templates.

- Click Basic Template to start customizing.

- Click on the respective sections to alter the header, footer and body sections of the template.
- You are provided with a default and two custom options for the header and footer sections.
- You can add your firm's logo, the job opening's details, your firm's details, the candidate's details and the recruiter's details with the default templates.

Choose what values you want to display in your template's header/footer sections respectively and click Done. - The custom templates let you add personalized headers and footers to your templates using HTML code. Paste the HTML content required for your custom header/footer in the text box and click Done.

- The body section of the formatted resume will be populated with the original copy of the candidate's resume by default. However, you can hide the information you don't want to display on the formatted resume by toggling the respective buttons. Click Done once you're finished.

- You will then be asked to finalize the Resume Settings, i.e., Template Title, Font, Summary Options, Watermark, etc.
- Click Done to conclude.
Standard Template
- Click on Setup > Resume Management > Formatted Resume Settings > Default Templates.

- Click on Standard Template to start customizing.

- Alter the various sections of the resume by clicking on them.
Note: Field values can be placed only under their allocated sections. - You are provided with a default template and two custom templates for the resume header and footer sections.
- You can add your firm's logo, the job opening's details, your firm's details, the candidate's details and the recruiter's details with the default templates.

- Choose what values you want to display in your template's header/footer sections respectively and click Done.
- The custom templates let you add your own personalized header and footer sections onto your formatted resumes using HTML code. Paste the HTML content required for your custom header/footer in the text box and click Done.

- The various sections in the body of the template can be reordered and edited individually.

- Once you click on a section, you can add, remove and reorder fields as you please.

- You will be asked to finalize the Resume Settings, i.e., Template Title, Font, Summary Options, Watermark, etc.

- Click Done.
Advanced Template
Zoho Recruit's Advanced Formatted Resume templates let you build and generate personalized branded resumes that showcase your brand. Start from scratch or pick one of five pre-built templates from our template library. You can then add merge fields to your template and generate branded resumes on the go!
