More Shortcuts

The following table shows the keyboard combinations/shortcut codes to create random text, lists, tables, code snippet and so on in your document.

Action Shortcut
To insert dummy text

Type =rand(<number of paragraphs>), or =rand(<number of paragraphs>,<number of lines in each paragraph>) into the document and press Enter.

To insert a code snippet

Type =code(language) into the document and press Enter.

To create a table

Type =table(<number of rows>,<number of columns>) into the document and press Enter.

To create an ordered-list

Type 1. into the document, and press Space.

To create an unordered-list Type * into the document, and press Space.
To add a comment

Mac users: Command+alt+M Windows users: Ctrl+Alt+M

To apply Headings (1-6)

Mac users: Command+alt+[1-6] Windows users: Ctrl+Alt+[1-6]


Slash Command

Zoho Writer offers a variety of inline quick commands that you can use to insert special content into your document. To use an inline quick command, type a forward slash (/) followed by the command name. For example, to insert a date, you would type "/date".

You can use the up and down arrow keys to navigate through the list of available inline quick commands.
Notes
Note:
When you insert a second formatting command after the first one, the new command will add the formatting of the second command to the formatting of the first command. For example, if you type "/bold" and then type text, the text will be in bold. When you type  "/italics" after the previous text, the text you type after the second command will be both bold and italics.
