How to dictate documents in Zoho Writer

Overview

You can enable the browser's dictation feature to dictate documents in Zoho Writer

Steps

In Mac OS (Chrome or Firefox browser)

Initially user needs to enable the dictation feature in the browser;

1. Click on the 'Edit' option in the browser menu bar > Start Dictation



2. Then, Click OK > Enable Dictation





3. Once the feature is enabled, open the Writer document > place the cursor where you want the content to be typed. 

Now, if you click on 'Edit' option in the browser menu and click on 'start dictation', you will find a Microphone symbol (as shown below) which will allow you to speak and edit the document.



In Windows

1. Press 'Windows+H', it will ask to turn on the online speech recognition feature. Click on the link and enable it as shown in below images.





2. Once done, again press 'Windows+H', you will find a Microphone icon stating 'Listening.' (as shown below) which will allow you to speak and edit the document.

  1. Make sure that you are online to use this feature.
