How to insert en/em dash in a document?

To insert en/em dash in a document, click on the gear shaped icon at the top right-corner of the editor and select Settings > Preferences. Then, enable the en (-) and em (--) dash checkboxes and click Save.

em dash will be applied based on em rules (ie) there should be a word before and after the double-hyphen.

Example: Word -- Word (or) Word--Word
