Changes to Social media profile integration
Dear Recruiters,
As part of new partner program updates for LinkedIn & Facebook, we wanted to make you aware that we are making changes to the “Candidate profile” feature for Facebook and LinkedIn, effectively immediately.
Changes to LinkedIn Integration:
Going forward, any LinkedIn profile can be accessed by clicking on the candidate’s LinkedIn URL. It will be displayed directly in the LinkedIn interface instead of a pop up within Zoho Recruit. This change will bring us in line with LinkedIn’s terms.
Earlier Setup:
Clicking on the LinkedIn button would display the Candidate Profile within Zoho Recruit - candidate record.
This has now been updated linking to the Candidate's Profile directly in LinkedIn:
For any new profile associations, we request the candidate's LinkedIn URL. Clicking on the link will direct the user to the candidate’s LinkedIn profile page in a new tab.
For existing users and the associated candidate profile, we have already updated the links to their LinkedIn profile.
Changes to Facebook Integration:
Facebook has depreciated the Profile search API, which is used to search and associate candidates to their Facebook Profile. Candidate's that were linked to their Facebook profile would continue to work as configured.
For candidates that are not linked to their Facebook profile - You can make use of the Social Tab (Available only in Professional & Enterprise versions), associate the Facebook / Twitter profiles of candidates (or contacts) that communicate with you through your Social Media accounts.
