Custom Functions for Tasks

Custom Functions for Tasks

In Zoho Projects, you can now automate the workflow of your tasks by creating a custom function. You can drag-and-drop Conditions into your function using Deluge. These functions can be called from one or more task workflow rules and blueprint.

For Instance, if you want to close the parent task once all the subtasks are completed, you can create a custom function to check the status of the subtasks. If all the subtasks are closed then the status of the parent task can be marked as "Closed" automatically. You can also add arguments to this function and associate them to all the project layouts if required. Click here to learn how to create a custom function.

Here are some possible uses for custom functions:
  • Push your task details to third-party applications.
  • Create a new subtask based on a task status.
  • Add log hours for the task owners.
  • Update the sub-task's status according to the parent task's status.
