I just don't understand how this feature isn't available. We are consultants in large long term construction projects. Our Projects are being set up in Zoho so the Tasks match Construction Contracts broken down into sections. The Project Manager would divide the contract amount across all tasks at his discretion. We bill our clients incrementally based on the percentage of each Task that is complete.
For example, Task #1 Site Evaluation may be two visits several months apart. After the first visit, we would bill 50% for that task amount only. Regularly monthly visits may include percentages of 1 or 5-6 different tasks, totalled for the monthly bill for that project.
What I need to do is be able to send the data from Project to Books, or use Books and draw the data from Project directly. Creating an invoice from scratch doesn't improve our process at all.
I am looking for some ideas on how to accomplish this. Maybe through the CRM, or through the Deal module? There must be a method to doing this.
I'm a little pissed at Zoho. They just said "sorry to dissappoing you, We cannot do this."
