Holiday email tips: Designing ecommerce email templates
We have already entered the holiday mode with our last tip on designing email templates. This is the first instalment of our four-tip series dedicated to Ecommerce holiday email marketing.
Ecommerce is one sector that experiences an increased traffic during the holiday season. And we wanted to make sure you're strategically ready to maximise it.
Here are a few tips to design high-performing email templates.
Provide more information:
Since we are talking about ecommerce, shipping becomes an integral part of the mix. Design your templates not only specific to the holidays but also the benefits you are ready to offer. Mention about the shipping benefits that your customers can avail and increase engagement.
Create immediacy through the template:
Ecommerce or not, this is a common method that many follow and the festive season makes it even more special. Try to put words that subtly ask the recipients to hurry up and make the purchase or subscription. This sense of immediacy should also be backed by relevant actions like clicks on specific links and CTA buttons.
Be sure to include numbers:
Numbers and figures are associated with the psychological side of marketing. People are somehow attracted to numbers. ecommerce will invariably talk about discounts and offers. All you need to do is incorporate numbers in your template and make that section stand out.
Be more apparent:
Sales and offers are aplenty during the holiday season. You as an email marketer need to be clear in this respect. Tell your subscribers that you are providing them with a sale that makes it different from the others. Make the magic words, 'sale' and 'offer' more prominent in your template to fetch more attention.
(available for Shopify, Zoho Commerce, BigCommerce, and WooCommerce), you can readily use the pre-designed, E-commerce-specific email templates.
