Issue with "Send Email" from Quotes not loading Email Template data
Hi everyone,
I'm currently experiencing an issue when using the "Send Email" option from a Quote record in Zoho CRM.
What’s happening:
-
When I go to the Quotes module and select a record, then click Send Email, the attached file (Quote) correctly pulls in all the customer data.
-
However, when I try to select an Email Template, it does not populate any of the CRM merge fields (they appear blank or unfilled).
-
Additionally, the recipient’s email address is not automatically added, so I have to manually select the contact every time.
What I’m expecting:
-
The Email Template should automatically populate with the corresponding CRM data (like Name, Deal, etc.).
-
The recipient (Contact/Lead linked to the Quote) should be auto-filled in the "To" field when clicking Send Email from the Quote record.
Question:
Is this the expected behavior of the default "Send Email" action in Quotes, or is there a way to configure it so:

Email templates properly load and populate data
-
The recipient email is auto-filled based on the Quote record
Any guidance or best practices would be greatly appreciated.
