When a Lead is converted to a contact the History / Timeline information is removed.
This is very critical info as someone may change part of original data at the lead level like lead contact, email, phone etc and after conversion, we do not have all that available...
I am aware of some employee who stole data from our CRM and changed the lead details and converted to a contact.. Now we have no idea about the contact details on that prospective lead.... ATleast if the lead is still a lead, then we can see who all are making whatever changes... and what the original value was and what the new value is...
Leads captured from online platforms, webforms capture too few info and a lot of info is captured by L1 associates... we cannot afford to loose track of who did what on a lead...
A lot of analysis also becomes a "?" when we need lead level info to compare with the conversion data.
Why does Zoho remove such critical information from the system whereas this lead history should be carried forwarded to the next module?
