Hello,
In the previous
post, we looked at a hack to paste text into your campaign.
Today, we'll move ahead to a hack about setting up a specific theme for your campaign.
A default theme, as the name suggests, is the theme that will be automatically set for all campaigns sent from your organization. In certain circumstances, though, the default theme that you've set might not blend with the context of your campaign.
In such cases, to set a header and footer theme that's relevant to a campaign that you're about to send, you might:
- Create a specific theme.
- Set this specific theme as your default header and footer.
- Send that particular campaign.
- Reset your theme again to the actual default theme you had.
What if there were a simpler way to do this? Using a non-default theme for your campaign would allow you to change the header and footer without disturbing the default header setup.
Let's look at this in the following user scenario:
Joe was organizing an event to promote his brand, "Zylker" in London and meet his customers living there. He wanted to use a campaign theme specifically for recipients who live closer to the location of the event and his top customers who would attend the event. However, he did not want to set it as a default theme as he had created a seasonal theme for all other customers.
So he created a specific event theme and selected it from Header Footer theme dropdown whenever he sent out campaigns to these targeted contacts. He then set the seasonal theme to be the default theme. This way, he could use both themes in an easier way, reducing the chances of any mistakes.
Hopefully you will find the hacks discussed about Template Editor useful when you are crafting the content for your campaigns.
Regards,
Krithika
