My Custom Views in Each Zoho Project Disappear Periodically
Hello,
My team uses Zoho Projects as part of our ZohoOne suite. For one type of service that we offer, we have created a project template from which a tracking project is created for every single client we onboard to that service. The Zoho Project template and the projects it creates are pretty simple, basically a checklist of progress. But over time there will be hundreds of projects created from this template. We use them because onboarding each client to our service has 129 steps we must track and complete.
I have created a custom view through which a number of my employees must view each project. This custom view normally appears in the dropdown box when a user is in Zoho Projects, on the Tasks sub-tab, in the upper left hand corner of that Tasks window. I have made certain that my custom view is named, that it is visible in all projects, and that it is both starred and selected as the default view in every such project that we create.
Once every few months, however, the custom view disappears from that dropdown and all the active projects revert to the default view of "All Open," through no action of our own. The worst part is is that, it seems I have to both recreate the custom view every time this happens and then go to every single project, one by one, to choose that custom view and make it the default view again.
I am requesting answers to ALL of the following questions:
Do custom views for the Zoho Projects ,Tasks tabs expire?
If they do expire, where can I find a setting to prevent this?
Is there a way to apply a custom view as the default view for many, but not all Zoho Projects? We have different projects types and the custom view that is the subject of my questions today would not be used for every project. This is why every time I recreate it, I have to apply it as the default, one by one, to every project realted to this specific service...only for it to disappear again in a few months. I don't want to change the views on separate projects that track other services each time I fix this problem.
Is there a way to retrieve a previously built custom view that, suddenly, no longer appears in the dropdown box under Custom Views?
Can I make the project template force that custom view to become the default view on the Tasks list in each new project it yields?
If so, how?
If not by an expiry date, why do my custom views for Zoho Projects Tasks disappear every few months?

Zoho Projects now generates a unique number for each project, task, and issue added. The auto-generated ID is a combination of a prefix and a number which is assigned by Zoho Projects. The unique IDs for projects, tasks, and issues will be useful to track, identify, and search easily. You can modify the settings to enable or disable the Project and Task IDs. Hi All, Today, we have made an enhancement in task inline editing. In 4.0, task edit is moved in a single screen in a pop-up. We designed this in-order to make the task edit across the product to be the same.
