Hello.  We migrated from gmail to Zoho mail a few years ago, but some users want to be able to use gmail.  I have set up dual delivery in the Zoho Mail Admin console.  This is working fine.  I can't figure out how to sync outgoing emails.  Specifically, if something is sent in Gmail it should appear in the sent folder of Zoho Mail.  It would be nice to sync accounts so that folders and/or tags and deleting emails happen in both accounts.  Is there a way to do this as the admin of both Zoho and Google?  I am specifically looking for an admin solution. ~Thanks!

Hello

We wish to inform you that when Dual Delivery is configured, you are only making sure the incoming emails are being received in both the email providers. However, when you send out emails from any one service, you would be using that particular service's SMTP protocol to relay the emails to the recipient. Hence, if you use GMAIL's SMTP service to send out emails, they will locally have the emails in their server as it is being sent from their service. It is the same behaviour in Zoho mail as well.

Due to this, the emails cannot be synced to each other and we recommend you to advise your users to use any one of the service's to send and receive their emails in to make sure they have a track of it.

Hope you understand.

Hello,

Thank you for the response.  That does not answer my question.

I am not attached to using dual delivery as the method.  That's just what I have set up now.  I would like to know how to sync emails, please advise on the method to do this.  Please forget I ever mentioned what I have done for now and advise how to sync them up with Zoho as MX in the domain.  Please tell me how to do this, don't just tell me what methods don't work.

I specifically would like a solution to set this up as the admin in Zoho and Gmail.

Thank you!

Hello

We wish to inform you that using the Email Routing feature, we won't be able to sync all the emails in both the services. However, we can either suggest you the below workarounds:

1. We recommend you to please have all the users in Zoho mail and have it as one single email provider for your organization. Hence, in this way, your organization would be able to use the maximum privileges of our Zoho mail and be able to collaborate as one single unit.

2. Else, if your users do not wish to migrate to the Zoho mail service, you can use Split email routing where the GMAIL users would not have a Zoho mail account and would be using their Google service individually without having the necessity to login to Zoho mail.
