What's New this November 2018 in Zoho Books?

Hello Everyone,

Each month, Zoho Books works towards building better products for its customers. Like always, we have a bunch of new updates rolled out this month. Read on to know what's new!

Enhanced Zoho Books - Zoho Projects Integration

Zoho Books - Zoho Projects integration has been enhanced to allow all your data in Zoho Projects to sync with those in Zoho Books. You can set your sync preferences and view the status of your data on a new dashboard. The integration also lets you create transactions for your projects right from the Finance tab in Zoho Projects. Learn More.




Bulk Actions for Multiple Modules

Perform bulk updates and save a great deal of time! Zoho Books now lets you update multiple fields at once using Bulk Update in Invoices, Projects and Credit Notes. You can also bulk email all your payment receipts to your customers by selecting multiple customers and clicking the Email option.




Initiate Multiple Bill Payments Through Partner Banks (India)

You can now initiate or record multiple bill payments associated to the same vendor when you have integrated your account with any of the partner banks in India i.e., ICICI Bank and Standard Chartered. Navigate to the Payments Made module, select a vendor and all unpaid bills for a particular vendor is listed. You can easily select your bank and initiate the payment.




Updates on Journal Entries

1. Zoho Books now allows you to view the journal entry for a particular transaction in the transaction details page itself. This option is currently available for Expenses, Bills, Credit Notes, Vendor Credits, and Invoice modules. You can also go the transaction, click More > View Journal Entry to view it.




2. All actions and changes on a journal entry will now be visible as comments in the manual journal details page.


3. Customizable journal numbers are now available for all editions of Zoho Books. You can set a prefix and choose to auto-generate journal numbers or manually enter them each time.

Introducing Product Sales Report

We've added the Product Sales Report under the Inventory section in Zoho Books. This report helps to identify the average profit margin of a product sold in a particular period of time along with its SKU, Quantity Sold and Sales Price.




Send Invoices in Your Customer's Language

Your customers can now view the invoices you have mailed them in their portal language. This is applicable even when you have not enabled the client portal for your customers.




Drop-downs With Quick Actions
We've added a drop-down menu with quick actions for every contact. This lets you edit or email contact and perform custom actions if any on them right from the contact list page itself!
