Zoho Inventory Community Digest July 2021 - a monthly rundown



Hello all!

I hope you all are doing well. If you've been waiting for details on our application updates, we've got them right here for you, along with some exciting news to mark the end of this month. Read on.
 
1. Spotlight

In this month's Spotlight, we bring you the 5 Must-Have Inventory Reports for Online Sellers. As consumers wait to return to their pre-pandemic activities, online sales are gaining more traction among small and large merchants alike. It is important to have a high-level overview of your sales and inventory as you scale and increase your online presence. This gets even more important if you are a multichannel seller trying to make data-based decisions while managing several different sales channels.

This video here will help you use reports to map your sales and distribution, forecast sales and purchases, categorize your items, analyze product return cycles, calculate losses due to damaged and unrecoverable items, and more.

2. Product updates
 
  • Custom views are now available for the Transfer Orders and Adjustments modules of Zoho Inventory. You can create a custom view and filter out transactions from the dropdown in the top left corner of your screen within the module.

  • The UK and GCC editions of Zoho Inventory now allow you to manage item-level discounts for self-billed invoices in the app.

  • Add more convenience for your customers by editing the Subject field label while creating invoices and credit notes in Zoho Inventory. You can make these changes from the invoice or credit note templates under Settings within the app.

  • Add a transaction series number to your transactions for convenience. You can now control the transaction series for all your modules centrally, under Settings. This will also allow you to create a unique transaction series for every branch of your organization using separate identifiers. This feature is available in Early Access. Please send us an email at support@zohoinventory.com if you would like to test it.

  • If you have been missing essential fields and filters while using the reports functionality within Zoho Inventory, we now have the Customized Reports option for you. This helps you create customized reports by including multiple mix-and-match options such as export layout configurations, advanced filters, column selection, permissions, schedulers, and more.

  • It is currently available for the following report modules:

    - Profit and Loss Report
    - Balance Sheet Report
    - Cash Flow Report
    - Invoice Details Report
 
3. Mobile app updates
 
iOS updates

This month's updates on the Zoho Inventory iOS app include:
  • Tax handling updates
  • Changes related to IOSS/OSS taxes in the UK edition
  • Support for a document module in the app
  • Find your inventory stock handling value in the inventory details page
  • Bug fixes

Please note that we are removing Authtoken support for Zoho Inventory APIs by August 30, 2021. This change is part of switching to OAuth 2.0, a more secure and robust protocol. Please make sure you replace Authtokens with OAuth as soon as possible.
