Integrating Zoho People with Zoho Connect

What is Zoho People?

Zoho People is an online Human Resource Management System designed to manage and access all your employee data from a centralized location. Using this integration, your organization's data such as users, designations, departments, locations, and user profile details from Zoho People will remain in sync with Zoho Connect.

What are the benefits of this Integration?

  • This integration facilitates dynamic Group membership for every department and designation field in Zoho People. Every time a new member is added to a department or listed under a particular designation in Zoho People, they are automatically added to the respective Zoho Connect Group.  
  • User data that are relevant to user profile fields in Zoho Connect will be synced. This includes name, seating location, work location, mobile number,  date of birth, extension, work phone, nickname, gender, designation, department, and reporting-to information.
  • Users can perform web Check-in/check-out and apply leave from their respective Zoho Connect profile page.  
  • Employee details such as Reporting to, Direct Reports, and Organization Hierarchy can also be viewed in Zoho Connect itself.
New members added to the Zoho People and also the existing users of Zoho People who are not a part of Zoho Connect Network, will receive an email invite asking them to join the respective Zoho Connect Network  

How to enable Zoho People integration?

The Zoho Connect admin can configure Zoho People integration in the Integrations page. The Connect admin should also be the admin of the Zoho People to configure this integration.
To configure Zoho People integration follow the steps below:
  • Click the plug icon from the vertical menu in the top-right part of your Zoho Connect page.

                        

  • From the list of integrations, click Zoho People.
  • Click Configure and select the Zoho People account that you'd like to integrate with your Zoho Connect Network.     
            
  • Use the checkboxes to configure the integration to suit your organization's needs.
  • Once done, click Save.

To enable this integration, you'll need a paid subscription of Zoho People and Zoho Connect. Also, please ensure that your purchased user count is the same in both to avoid any discrepancies in this integration. 
 The Zoho People integration is only available for Zoho Connect's internal networks.

What happens once this integration is enabled?

Once the admin enables Zoho People integration, the members in Zoho Connect will be automatically synced with Zoho People, and all members in the Network will be able to use this integration. 

Where can the users find Check-in/check-out and apply leave options?

  • Click the profile icon in the top-right corner of your page.
  • Click My Profile from the menu.
  • You'll find Check-in/check-out and apply leave options in the top-right corner of your page.

How to disable Zoho People integration?

The network admin can restrict the integration by following the steps below:
  • Click the plug icon from the vertical menu in the top-right part of the page.
            
  • Navigate to the Zoho People integration and toggle the Enabled button in the right to disable it.
