Adding overview dashboard templates in a model

By default, all models(Device, Asset, and Location) come with configured with an overview dashboard template. Users have the flexibility to add two additional overview dashboard templates to any model.

All overview dashboard operations require necessary permissions. Refer user profiles document for more details.

When an instance is created in the end application based on a model with a configured overview dashboard, this same overview dashboard will automatically be reflected as the instance's overview dashboard. This ensures consistency and provides a seamless experience across different instances.

To add an overview dashboard,

Access the Developer Application.
Select Asset or Devices or Location in the left pane based on the model to which you want to add the overview dashboard template. For this illustration, Device is selected.
Click the name of the model you want to add the overview dashboard Template to. For this illustration, the device model Smart Equipment is considered.
Select Overview Dashboard in the left pane. This will display the default overview dashboard.
Click the Plus icon near the Overview Dashboard selection field. This will open the new dashboard overview form
Provide the required details. For this illustration, the following values are provided.

Dashboard Name : Overview II (A label to identify the overview dashboard)
Time Selection : Enabled to create a time-specific dashboard where all
widgets will display data for a selected period.
Select Time : Today
Click Create.

A new overview dashboard template will now be added to the model.
