Ensure that your pop-up messages reach the right segment of your audience. For example, imagine visitors searching for a bicycle and then being shown a pop-up about camping equipment, or looking for a new iPhone and being told about a discount on Sony headphones. Neither of these pop-ups help make a sale or enticing customers to return to your site because the relevance of the pop-up content is low. To avoid this scenario, you can choose to show the pop-up to the right group of people. Zoho PageSense provides a variety of audience segments that you can select from depending on your visitor's geological location, device used, new or returning visitors, and much more.
To choose your target audience segment:
1. Choose which device you want to display the pop-up on under the AUDIENCE page. You can choose mobile, desktop, or tablet.
For example, if you select Social Traffic, then this pop-up will only be shown to visitors who arrive on your website from Facebook, LinkedIn, or Twitter. Learn about the different types of target audience segments in PageSense.
For example, you want to target visitors who are making large purchases from the US with a promotional incentive to purchase again. You can build a segment of visitors from the US who have made large purchases using the and Location segments. Then you can create a targeted pop-up message for them with a 15% off code to encourage them to make another purchase.
By default, the pop-up will be targeted to All Visitors reaching your website.
Important: Ensure that the Zoho PageSense code snippet is installed on all the URLs you want to show the pop-up on.
