What is the "Attendance" user service?
The "Attendance" user service refers to the Attendance tab accessed through the left bar in Zoho People. It displays all the necessary attendance service-related information ,such as attendance summary, overtime, shift, etc. Here you can raise attendance-related requests, check-in and more.
How to navigate to attendance user service?
Simply click on the Attendance icon in the left bar in Zoho People.
What can you do here?
Check-in / Check-out / Break Time
Navigate to Attendance > My Data > Attendance Summary tab and use the Check-in / Check-out green/red button. Depending on your organization's preferences, the counter for your break time may begin when you mark a check-out during office hours.
View attendance summary
Navigate to Attendance > My Data > Attendance Summary tab.
The Attendance Summary displays the days or hours view of your attendance, this includes hours worked, check-in/check-out time lines. To view a record in detail, simply click on the particular timeline. Use the (
) icon to cycle between the time periods.
View check-in and check-out details
To view check-in and check-out details for a specific workday:
- In the Attendance Summary tab, click on List View.
Click on the day for which you want to view the check-in and check-out details.
If facial recognition is enabled, you can view captured images of yourself or your repartees (based on permission) by clicking the profile icon. Images are available for check-ins and check-outs completed via the Zoho People mobile app, web application, or kiosk. For kiosk-based check-ins and check-outs, captured images from the past three months will only be available for viewing in the system.
Raising a permission or on-duty request
Navigate to Attendance > My Data, click on the Request button and select Permission or On-duty (availability depends on your organization's policies)
You can also track and raise Permissions and On Duty requests from their corresponding tabs.
Within the Attendance Summary page, you also have Filter, Export and Audit History options.
What is Audit History?
Audit history shows the attendance log timeline along with any changes initiated by any Zoho People user or the system. For example, if your manager updates your attendance entries, this can be viewed here.
Regularize your attendance
What is attendance regularization?
Attendance regularization offers the opportunity to submit requests to correct any inaccurate attendance records. These inaccuracies may arise from instances such as forgetting to check in or out or technical errors resulting in incorrect entries. Through the attendance regularization process, you can submit a request to amend your attendance records by providing the correct information along with an explanation for the request.
Navigate to Attendance > My Data > Regularization tab, view your pending requests, or click Add Request to raise a new regularization request. You will be required to select the date, time range, reason, and description when submitting a regularization request. Once your manager approves the regularization request, the system will automatically update your attendance records.

Shifts tab. Here you can v
iew shift information and assign shifts (if applicable). You can view shifts in weekly or monthly views. Use the arrows (
) to cycle between the periods.
Hover over the specific day’s shift and click Edit icon to request a shift change for that day or a specific period.
You can also view leave information in your shift calendar.
View team members attendance status
Navigate to Attendance > Team > Team Members. Using this, you can quickly check your team/project members check-in status.
You have access to four Attendance related reports (based on your organization's employee permission preferences), namely, Early/late check-in and check-out, Present/absent status. Presence hours break-up, Overtime details. To access these reports, navigate to Reports (bottom left-corner) and select the corresponding Attendance report.
