Issue Reminder

Issue reminders help when working towards a deadline. Reminders can be set based on due date or based on specific dates.

Set Reminder Based On Due Date

When you set a due date to the issue, reminders can be set based on it.
  1. Select a project from the Recent Projects section or from the Projects tab in the left navigation panel.
  2. Click on the Issues tab in the top band to open the Plain view.
  3. Click on an issue to open the details page.
  4. Click on the reminder field to open the options.
  5. Select the Based on Due Date radio button.
  6. Click on the Reminder Type field to view options.
    • Daily: A reminder will be sent daily at a time specified by you. Set the Time and select users in the Notify Users field.

    • On Due Date: A reminder will be sent on the due date at a time specified by you. Set the Time and select users in the Notify Users field.

    • Days Before Due Date: A reminder will be sent on the due date at a time specified by you. Enter days, set the Time and select users in the Notify Users field.

  7. Click Set Reminder.

Set Reminder On Specific Date

Reminder can be set on any date. Setting a due date is not necessary.
  1. Select a project from the Recent Projects section or from the Projects tab in the left navigation panel.
  2. Click on the Issues tab in the top band to open the Plain view.
  3. Click on an issue to open the details page.
  4. Click on the reminder field to open the options.
  5. Select the Specific Date radio button.
  6. Set the date in the Select Date field.
  7. Select users in the Notify Users field.
  8. Click Set Reminder.
You cannot set a reminder if:
  1. an issue is already past its due date
  2. no due date is set
  3. reminder date is earlier than the current date
  4. reminder date is same as the current date
  5. current date and due date are the same
  6. no user is assigned to an issue
  7. an issue is moved to another project
In the Kanban view, click the Submit Issue icon and add an assignee to view the options for setting a reminder.

Set Reminder When Submitting an Issue

  1. Select a project from the Recent Projects section or from the Projects tab in the left navigation panel.
  2. Click on the Issues tab in the top band to open the Plain view.
  3. Click Submit Bug in the upper right corner.
  4. Fill in the details and scroll down to the Reminder field.
  5. Select an option and then set the reminder.
  6. Click Set Reminder.
