Collecting lead through zobot and posting it to zoho crm
We have integrated whatsapp with zoho salesiq. So when a person chats in our official whatsapp number that chat will be handled in salesiq platform. But we also get potential leads through this chat, but not all chats are leads. To address the issue we have implemented zobot wherein customers will be prompted with a question as to whether its a service enquiry or a sales enquiry. If its a sales enquiry, then the name and phone number of the customer will be posted in zoho crm. One issue that we faced while doing this was, the workflow rules that are set in zoho crm is not getting triggered when the bot creates record using the inbuilt zoho.crm.createRecord method. To bypass this, we have used connections to integrate salesiq with zoho crm and used the invokeurl post method to create lead. Once this was done, workflows are getting triggered as expected. I think this is the only work around to address the issue. Please let me know if theres a better way.
