Subscription Bulletin

Apple's new App Store Small Business Program reduces the App Store commission to 15% for small businesses earning up to $1 million per year.

This is great news if you develop apps and sell them via the App Store (or if you're planning to). Apple reducing its customary 30% commission by half means that small businesses can earn more revenue and fuel their growth further. 

Apple's official statement mentions Jan 1, 2021 as the launch date for this program. Another reason to look forward to 2021 after....you know, 2020!


Tips and Tricks

In the previous edition of our digest, we discussed how to access external URLs from within Zoho Subscriptions by simply creating a custom link.

Here's Tip #7: Most subscription businesses want to collect some data based on customers' preferences and generate the checkout page based on that. Even if you take subscription boxes, for instance, they'd want to know which product the [website] visitor wants to sign up for and their preferred billing frequency, and then take them to a checkout page where the subscription amount is computed based on those preferences. If you're collecting such information with form builders like Zoho Forms or JotForm, you can easily integrate them with Zoho Subscriptions using these steps.
