Credit Card Scanning on Mobile App
Hi there,
I occasionally use the mobile iOS app for Zoho Invoice as a POS device for my business. It's pretty good (especially the QR code scanning when adding items to the invoice, oh my goodness it's so good) but there's 1 thing that I wish it had -an easy way to complete the sale and charge the customer right then and there.
As of right now, when I need to create a transaction on the mobile app, I can only "Save" the invoice, which puts it in "Draft" status. In order to charge the customer, I must then click "More" button on the invoice page, then click "Payments", then click "Charge Customer". Then I'm brought to the payment screen where I then have to manually type in the card number, expiration, and CVV number.
Ideally, there would be a "Save and Charge Customer" option at the end of the Invoice creation process that takes you straight to the payment screen. Then tapping on the Card Number field should offer the ability to scan a credit card using the device's camera, then using optical character recognition to parse the numbers into their respective fields on the payment screen. Our web browsers offer this automatically. And since you're already using our cameras to VERY efficiently scan item codes, I was surprised to see this wasn't already built into the app. Hopefully this isn't too far out of reach or too far down your list of priorities. It would save a lot of time and headache for us and our customers.
