I'm writing to request a new feature that would significantly enhance the automation capabilities of Zoho Bookings: the ability to create custom functions for appointment reminders.
Current Functionality:
Zoho Bookings currently allows configuring notifications for consultants and customers via email and SMS for various appointment stages (Booked, Rescheduled, Canceled, Completed, No Show). Additionally, you can set up to 3 reminders for upcoming appointments with options for timing (days or minutes before the meeting).
Limitation:
However, these appointment reminders are currently limited to pre-defined email or SMS notifications.
Feature Request:
We propose the introduction of custom functions for appointment reminders. This would allow us to trigger a wider range of actions beyond just email and SMS, such as:
Sending personalized push notifications to mobile apps.
Integrating with external communication platforms.
Triggering internal workflow automation based on the reminder.
Benefits:
Custom functions for appointment reminders would provide greater flexibility and control over our communication strategy. It would allow us to tailor reminders to specific needs and preferences, potentially increasing their effectiveness and improving customer experience.
Comparison:
While Zoho Bookings allows custom functions for other appointment actions (sending emails, creating invoices), the lack of this functionality for reminders is a limitation.
Recommendation:
We believe that adding custom functions for appointment reminders would be a valuable addition to Zoho Bookings. It would empower users to leverage their existing automation tools and workflows for a more comprehensive appointment management experience.
