Introducing True Syncing of Read-only Folders - Zoho Docs Sync
Some files are to be read, others to be edited, and some few to be scrutinized and reviewed. The permissions you grant while you share a file decide the level of activity a user can do on your file.
If you have a set of files to be shared with your team and you don't want the contents to be changed in any way, then you can share the files in a read-only folder.
But what happens when read-only folders are synced to desktops?

Until now, on your desktop, you could edit, move or delete any shared file regardless of the permissions you had for its folder.
The latest update from Zoho Docs Sync provides true syncing of read-only folders to desktops. Now Zoho Docs Sync prevents users from performing actions like editing, renaming, moving and deleting within read-only folders synced to their desktops. Security Update: Zoho Docs is phasing out TLS 1.0 and 1.1 support
We'd like to draw your attention to an important security update that will take effect on August 31, 2018. As part of our continuous efforts to keep Zoho services secure and reliable, and to meet updated PCI standards, we're phasing out the early TLS protocols—1.0 and 1.1. What's TLS? Transport Layer Security (TLS) is a cryptographic technology protocol used to provide secure transfer of sensitive information over the internet. Why is this necessary? According to NIST (National Institute ofZoho Docs Sync is now compatible with Mac OS High Sierra.
Apple released it's latest OS update MacOS High Sierra a couple of days ago. We've updated our desktop app accordingly, so that users who have upgraded to the new OS find no trouble with syncing files. An important part of this update is that Zoho Docs Sync now supports the new Apple File System that has been introduced with the OS launch. Download the latest version of Zoho Docs Sync here. We are currently working on a way to automatically add users to from one list to other lists based on specific criteria, but can't seem to find a native way of doing this so we are trying to use Workflows to do this. So, for example, if a user's status is set to "Active," then they should be added to the list "Active Users."
