Here’s an example of how you can use the tables and formulae of Zoho Writer to calculate income tax for an employee in India with income from salary, house property, and interest income.
Calculating income tax for an Indian employee: Step-by-step guide
- Create a table detailing income sources, amounts, deductions, taxable income, tax rate, and tax amount. Learn more about working with tables.
List all your income sources, such as salary, house property, interest income, etc.
For each income source, insert a number field where the form fillers can input values. Use fillable form fields to make these entries dynamic.
Insert appropriate formulas to compute:
- Gross Total Income: Sum of all income sources.
- Total Deductions: Sum of all applicable deductions.
- Taxable Income: Gross Total Income minus Total Deductions.
- Income Tax: Use the formula for calculating tax based on Indian tax slabs.
