Zoho Calendar keeps you up to date on any event you're a part of by providing reminder and notification options. These options are provided at the calendar and event levels through different modes such as pop-up, notification, and email.
Calendar Reminders
You can enable reminder notifications for each calendar separately in Zoho Calendar. When you set a reminder for a specific calendar, all events in that calendar will be notified based on the type of reminder that was set for the calendar.
Follow the steps given below to set calendar reminders:
- Log in to Zoho Calendar.
- Right-click or click the More options icon on the calendar from the left pane of the screen. Click the Edit option from the drop-down.
- In the Edit Calendar tab, click on Add Reminder.
- Choose the preferred reminder option as Email, Pop-up, or Notification from the drop-down, and other conditions.
You'll receive the notifications through the reminder options you've set up. Learn more.
Event reminders
In addition to setting reminders for calendars as a whole, you may customise reminders for each event added to the calendar. Depending on the reminder criteria you choose, you will receive reminders either before or after the start of the event.
Follow the steps to given below to set reminders for an event:
- In the Create Event/ Edit Event tab, click on Add Reminder.
- Choose the preferred reminder option as Email, Pop-up, or Notification from the drop-down and other conditions.
The reminders set for an event will over-ride the reminder option set for the calendar in which the event is being created. Learn more.
Notifications
You have the option of customizing the notifications you receive for events and calendars. When an event organizer creates an event and adds you as a participant, you will be notified through the notification bell icon in the top right corner of your calendar. When an event is modified or deleted, you will be alerted.
You can respond to event invitations directly from the notification centre. You will also be notified if someone shares their calendar with you. Learn more about notifications.
