Tips & Tricks: Ensure Your Bot's Final Messages Get Noticed with Card Wait Time
Creating a seamless and engaging chatbot flow is key to a great user experience. Each bot flow should have a strong start and a smooth conclusion to keep users engaged. In SalesIQ's codeless bot builder, the End card is used to end bot conversations. However, the End card ends the chat immediately after executing, cutting off important messages like links or videos before visitors have time to process them. As a result, visitors might miss important information if the chat ends too quickly.
Here’s a simple trick to ensure your visitors didn’t miss out:
The "Card Wait Time" in the end card allows you to set a card wait time. When this is enabled, the bot will delay the execution of the end card for a specified amount of time. This gives visitors adequate time to view any response cards that appear before the chat ends.
Why is this important? If you're sharing crucial messages like discount links, coupons, support emails, or videos at the end of the chat, this ensures that visitors have enough time to view the information before the conversation ends.
How to Set It Up:
- In the Codeless bot builder, navigate to your end card.
- Enable the "Card Wait Time" option.
- Set the desired delay time before the end card executes.
