The new year is finally here, and so are a bunch of slick new additions to Zoho Books. So, buckle up and read What's New in your Zoho Books account this January 2017!
1.Import and Export Inventory adjustments
Inventory adjustments option lets you adjust the stock of your items for any mismatches that might occur while stock recounting/ reconciliation. Such adjustments can be done based on value as well as quantity. Now, you can also import such adjustments to make changes in bulk or export the list of such adjustments made, as a report.
2. Express Checkout for an Easier Checkout
Configure your Zoho Books account with PayPal Payflow Pro and enable the 'Express Checkout' option to connect faster and experience an easier way to receive payments via your client's PayPal account. Use PayFlow Pro to auto-charge your clients and eliminate the major causes of checkout abandonment.
3. New in Zoho Books: Item Types
Let's consider you have a business which offers a mix of both, product and services. For example, you run an electronic store. You sell products such as televisions, laptops and maintenance services for your customers. So for such Product Service Systems, Zoho Books allows you to add items as per their type, Product or Service while Item creation.
4. Allow Timesheet Staff to Record Expenses
Earlier, Timesheet Staffs did not have the permission to record expenses for projects and could only log time. But now, y
ou can stay in control and enable or disable the permission for your Timesheet staff to
record expense and as well log time for the associated projects.
Note: newly created Zoho Books organizations will have this permission by default and old organizations can create a new role with this permission enabled. You can read more about this on our help document.
5.Introducing the Card view for your projects.
If you're a novice user, or just don't like complex visualizations, you'll be relieved to know that Zoho Books now sports a card view for listing projects. It helps you organize your projects as cards containing just the essentials: project name, the customer associated with the project, the amount of time logged on it so far, and it also gives you the option to record log time and expense directly from the card.
6. Exclude Journal from VAT Return
Businesses in U.K can now heave a sigh of relief as you can edit your VAT return preference to exclude journal from VAT Return.
7. More on Custom Views
A few weeks ago we introduced Custom View for your Invoices. This month, custom views have been released for your Sales Orders, Estimates, Retainer Invoices, Recurring Invoices, Credit Notes and Purchase Orders too. Select criteria, mark a view as favorite and share it with other users in the organization. Do try it out and let us know what you think.
These are the most important updates to start out fresh in this New Year. Do let us know your valuable feedback so that we can make Zoho Books continuously awesome for you.
Thanks for reading. See you next month!
Cheers,
