Zoho Payroll: Product Updates - October 2023
As October 2023 unfolds, workplaces worldwide undergo subtle yet impactful changes. In India, we introduced a new feature that allows you to undo salary revisions by deleting them. Additionally, we've made it possible to clone organisations for both India and the United States. Furthermore, our support now extends to South Carolina in the U.S.
We're also very excited about the newly launched Academy by Zoho Payroll which helps you learn the intricacies of the payroll landscape in India. Let's look into these features in detail.
Create a new organisation by cloning an existing one
Supported editions: India, United States
You can now easily create a new organisation by cloning an existing organisation. Just select the organisation you want to clone, enter a name for the cloned organisation, and configure preferences for your business. If prior payroll is enabled in your cloned organisation, historical data from other software or spreadsheet can be imported easily.
Note: You will not be able to clone your payroll data.
Delete salary revisions
Supported Editions: India
Now, you have the option to delete salary revisions made for employees—whether due to errors, changes in financial arrangements, or other similar cases. Deleting a revision simply means the salary goes back to how it was before revision.
Introducing South Carolina state support (Early Access)
We're thrilled to announce the latest addition to Zoho Payroll's US edition: support for the South Carolina state. This update ensures that businesses operating in South Carolina can effortlessly navigate the intricacies of payroll management specific to this region.

- New Hampshire

- South Dakota
- Tennessee
- Texas

If you'd like to access Zoho Payroll for your business in the South Carolina state or the other states in the early access mentioned above, submit a request, and we'll enable it for you. And yes, we are working on a lot more states, and we'll share it with you in this space.
