Create your first form analytics

Form analytics provide deeper insights about how your visitors interact with various fields in your online forms, such as the contact us form, sign up form, and other registration forms on your website. Creating and launching form analytics in PageSense makes it easy for you to measure how website visitors engage with your forms, including whether they complete the form successfully, and where they lag or drop out while filling out your forms. These insights will help you build a better more customer friendly form pages that improve conversions to your business.

To create a new form analytics:

1.  Click  Form Analytics  on the left pane,  then the  New Form Analytics  button.


2.  Add a descriptive name for your  form analytics in the  Name field , then  enter the URL of the web page that contains the form you want to track. 
For example, let us say you want to see visitors interaction on your webinar registration page. So, we will name this form analysis as 'Webinar Registration form'.


Currently, Zoho PageSense can only fetch static forms available on your web page, and can only track one form per page. To track dynamic forms, you need to manually add your form details, such as form ID or form name.  
You can also track the same form across a group of web pages by enabling the Advanced button. This option also allows you to use different URL match types, and further include or exclude web pages from being tracked in a single experiment. Learn how.
3.  Click  Fetch Forms to load all the forms available on the specified web page and çhoose one of the forms listed. 





























You can also manually add your form details by entering the form ID or form name as shown in the figure below.

In the Confirmation Page Criteria, choose your preferred match type from the dropdown and provide the corresponding web page URL where your visitors will be redirected to after they submit t he form.
You can also  create a custom event for the form  without a confirmation/thank you page URL.

C lick  Activate to launch the form analytics on your web page.

Zoho PageSense will now begin to track visitors' interaction metrics on different form fields
, such as hesitation time, abandonment rate, and submission time, under the  REPORTS tab of your experiment. However,  if you wish to make changes to your form, click the  Pause button at the top - right corner , then click  Relaunch to run the experiment again.
Ensure that the Zoho PageSense code snippet is installed to all the URLs of your form analytics.
