Create form analytics using advanced url targeting options

Advanced URL targeting is the best way to track visitors in form analytics if you have the same form (for example, 'Sign up' or 'Contact Us') present on different pages of your website. During such cases, enabling the URL Targeting option allows you to target the specific URLs or a set of several similar web pages where you want to run your form analysis, without the need to create multiple form experiments. You can also exclude a set of web pages on your site where you don’t want to track these forms. 
For example, let's say you want to view how buyers interact with the form fields in the 'check out' page of your ecommerce site. For this, you can choose the 'URL starts with' match type to track user behavior in all the pages that start with http://www.zylkerfashions.com/checkout. This metric will help you figure out how long users take to complete the form after they land on the checkout page, if there are any drop-outs or difficulty in filling those form fields, and what improvements need to be made to stop losing customers at this stage.   

To create a form analytics using advanced url targeting options:
1. Click Form Analytics on the left pane, then click the New Form Analytics button.

Enter a descriptive name for your form analytics in the Name text box, then enable the Advanced button. 


3. Select your preferred URL match type from the dropdown, then enter the specified URL pattern in the URL field. 
You can also include or exclude specific web pages to track your form reports in PageSense.
For example, let's say you want to track visitors' interaction on the 'Sign up' form embedded on your different pages of your website like below:
https://xyz.com/
https://xyx.com/contact/
https://xyz.com/support-services/
https://xyz.com/about-us/
In this case, you can use the 'URL starts with' match type for https://xyz.com/ to track the sign up forms present across all the webpages mentioned above. Also, make sure you have the PageSense code snippet installed in all the webpages where you want to track your form.

In the Preview URL field, enter the URL of the web page that contains your form to test, click Fetch Forms and choose one of the forms listed.
You can also manually add your form details by entering the form ID or form name. 
Currently, Zoho PageSense can only fetch static forms available on your web page, and can only track one form per page. To track dynamic forms, you need to manually add your form details, such as form ID or form name.  
5. In the Confirmation Page Criteria, choose your preferred match type from the dropdown, and provide the corresponding web page URL where your visitors will be redirected to after they submit the form. 
You can also create a custom event for your form without a confirmation or thank you page URL. 


6. Click Activate to launch the form analytics on your web page.

Zoho PageSense will now begin to track visitors' interaction metrics on different form fields, such as hesitation time, abandonment rate, and submission time,under the REPORTS tab of your experiment. However, if you wish to make changes to your form, click the Pause button at the top right corner, then click Relaunch to run the experiment again.
Ensure that the Zoho PageSense code snippet is installed in all the URLs of your form analytics.
