Matrix Textbox

The Matrix Textbox question has multiple columns of textboxes that appear as a grid with the same or different answer choice formats. You can now search for responses for all fields in reports, based on the selected column, similar to the filters that are available for other questions. Also, the matrix textbox question supports the stats table in the summary of responses if it has a numeric value in the answer options.
For example, in a cafe customer satisfaction survey, you would want to ask your customers to openly talk about their experiences and provide you with suggestions for improving your services. A matrix textbox question comes in handy when you have varied things to ask in a single question.

Matrix textbox question sample:

To add a matrix textbox question in your survey:

  1. Click Matrix Textbox in the question types listed on the left pane. You can also drag and drop the question type to the builder.

  2. Type your question in the Question box.
    1. If you want to mark the question as mandatory, select the Make this question mandatory checkbox.
    2. If you want to make changes to the default Error message text that displays, edit the content in the textbox.

    5. Select the number of columns to keep as mandatory for the respondent to pick in the Required number of columns per row dropdown list. Matrix Grid

The Matrix Grid question type has rows and columns similar to other matrix questions. However, the columns can be in Short Answer, Number, Email, Date, or Dropdown formats. You can use this question type in all forms of integration, enable comments, and apply row and column randomization too.
In the following example, you can see how a matrix grid question is used to ask questions that relate to different items on your menu, but in a single question.
