Trident gives you various options to customize your mailbox. To apply these customizations:
Click the Main Menu icon in the top-left corner of the app.
Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
Select Mail.
In the Mail View Options section, customize the options.
Following is a brief illustration of the customization options:
You can customize when Trident marks your emails as read. To do so:
Click the Main Menu icon in the top-left corner of the app.
Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
Go to Mail.
Scroll down to the Mark Email as Read setting and select the desired configuration from the drop-down options.
Upon Opening the Email | As soon as you open the email in the detail view, it will be marked as read. |
After x Seconds | After you view the email for the chosen duration, it will be marked as read. |
When the Email Selection Changes | No matter how long you view the email, it won't be marked as read unless you view another email. |
Manually | You must manually click the Mark as Read icon each time. |
You can open the Mail Composer in two ways:
Window: Opens the Mail Composer in a new window.
Floating: Opens the Mail Composer on top of the email detail pane.
To open the Mail Composer in window or floating by default:
Click the Main Menu icon in the top-left corner of the app.
Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
Select Mail.
Scroll down to the Compose section.
Click the radio button to choose one of the options: Window or Floating.
To enable or disable notifications for new emails:
Click the Main Menu icon in the top-left corner of the app.
Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
Select Mail.
In the Mail Notifications section, toggle the Enable Notifications for Mails button on or off.
Trident offers various keyboard shortcuts to use the Mail module. To view these shortcuts:
Click the Main Menu icon in the top-left corner of the app.
Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
Select Shortcuts.
Scroll down to the Mail section and you'll find the shortcuts mentioned below.
