Accounting on the Go Series-1: Effortless Accounting with iOS Home Screen Widgets

Widgets allow you to customise your iOS home screen with shortcuts to the functions you use most. Ever imagined you could access essential accounting tools without even opening the app?

We're excited to discuss a feature that'll simplify the way you handle your finances – Zoho Books widgets for your iOS home screen.

Access the following information and tools right at your fingertips:

1Receivable Summary: View what your customers owe you, categorised into Current and Overdue amounts. This widget allows you to monitor outstanding payments conveniently. Clicking on these values redirects you to Zoho Books' “AR Aging details by Invoice due date” report. 

2. Invoice Details: The Invoice Lists Widget displays both Overdue and Recent Invoices of your customers on your home screen. You can customise the view to show either one or both, making it easy to manage your invoices efficiently.

3. Track timer: Imagine you run a consulting business. You're in a client consultation, and you want to accurately track the time spent. With Zoho Books' home screen widgets, effortlessly manage your work time with three options:

     Timer Widget: Start, pause, and stop the timer as you work. It runs in the background, eliminating the need to keep your phone unlocked or stay on the same page. You can effortlessly start the timer and attend to other tasks. When you're finished, return to the timer and link it to particular projects and tasks with ease.

     Log Time Widget: Log time spent on tasks directly. Enter the time, select the project and task, and save it for accurate time management.

     Timer Dashboard: Access all time tracking functions, including tracking billed and unbilled hours for recent projects. This dashboard provides a comprehensive view of your time entries. You can also click on a project name to view its overview in Zoho Books.

No need to navigate through menus – these widgets provide instant access to Zoho Books functionalities, making your accounting experience a breeze.

How to set up:

 Tap and hold on your iOS home screen
 Click the "+" sign on the top left
 Select "Zoho Books.
 Swipe right and choose the widgets you want.
 Once added, you can adjust their placement by dragging them in the desired position.
