Customer Portal - Restrict/Hide/Modify form fields to customers only

Hi,

I am attempting to setup a customer portal for my existing database allowing customers to add new orders.

I would like to restrict, hide & modify different fields for customers inside the portal, without changing the fields for existing user accounts that are not in the customer portal (our staff).

Basically the same form will be viewed/interacted with differently depending on whether its a staff member or a customer.

What is the best way to go about this? Is there a guide to follow that will assist me with this (Creator 5 only).
