Open filtered deals from campaign
Do you think a feature like this would be feasible?
Say you are seeing campaign "XYZ" in CRM. The campaign has a related list of deals.
If you want to see the related deals in a deal view, you should navigate to the Deals module, open the campaign filter, and put "XYZ" in the name field. Then the filter would show you the same deals that you find in the related list in the "XYZ" record.
Is there any possible way to put a button in the campaign record that automates the process in the previous paragraph? A button that would open the deals module in a certain view and automatically set the filter to deals related to the campaign record you were seeing.
Perhaps using client script. I don't really know.
The goal is making it easy for users to reach the list of deals they want to see. For them, it's natural to search and visit the campaign record, but the related list in the campaign is not a good working tool: can't filter, need to paginate, can't do bulk updates, etc. So I always tell them to go to the deals module and filter, save the filters, etc., but they even forget that.
