Potential amount based on product amount and quantity
Hi,
Please can someone shed some light on whether it is possible for Zoho CRM to work in the following manner.
And if so, how can I set it up?
When I create a potential/opportunity the amount shown is to be calculated by the value of the products in the potential (price multiplied by quantity).
At the moment the potential amount is not linked to the value of the products in the potential.
How can I have the potential amount be linked to the value of the products?
EG: When I add a product (and sometimes more than 1) to the potential details the potential amount is automatically calculated/adjusted.
Having the potential amount not linked to the product value seems very strange to me and duplicates data entry.
When a product is added to a potential there should be the option to add a discount too (either percentage or fixed value) and number of units.
Most of my potential customers have fixed budgets so the potential amount is known but there also needs to be knowledge of the product value/adjustment required to fit that budget.
This is important for me to be able to generate reports on potentials for each product based on amount (this is because our products are supplied by different vendors so we need to report on potentials for each vendor).
Also when I generate a quote from a potential all that product information (name, price, quantity, discount) should be automatically populated into the quote.
At the moment it doesn't.
I have to add the product information back in again *sigh*
Am I missing something (which is more than likely!)?
Or have I not set up my sytem correctly (which is also extremely likely)?
Or is this something that Zoho CRM is just not simply designed to do?
