We've made some nitty-gritty enhancements to improve your overall user experience. Let's check out what's new in Zoho Inventory this March.
Default Customer Type
Based on the customers you mostly do business with, you can now choose the default customer type which should be preselected when you create a new customer.
For example, if your customers are mostly businesses, then you can choose the default customer type as Business. This will be selected in the customer creation page automatically, making it one less field for you to focus on.
To set a default customer type for your organization: Go to Settings > Preferences > Customers and Vendors > Choose a Default Customer Type > Click Save.
Introducing Developer Space
Developer Space is a new section in Zoho Inventory which will host all the developer focused features under one roof. Features such as Connections have been moved here to track all the integrations made with third-party services. In days to come, more such features will be added to this space.
To access this: Go to Settings > Developer Space.
VAT Deregistration [UAE Edition]
If your business is no longer eligible to be VAT registered, you can cancel your registration with the FTA and deregister your organization in Zoho Inventory as well. On doing so, your organization will no longer be considered as VAT registered, and you cannot add VAT rates to the transactions you create post the deregistration date.
To deregister your organization: Go to Settings > Taxes > Tax Settings > Click Deregister > Enter the deregistration date > Click Save.
Discounts in Price Lists
You can now set predefined discounts for each item in Price Lists, in addition to setting custom item rates. This discount percentage will be applied to the custom rate set for each item in a price list. You can use the Update in Bulk option, to apply discounts to multiple items in a Price List.
Note: This Discount field will be available only if you've chosen to provide discounts at the line item level in Settings > Preferences > General.
Comments & History Section for Item Adjustments and Transfer Orders
You can now add comments and view the activity history for transactions created under item adjustments and transfer orders.
