Some of the enhancements will be available in the upcoming weeks.
Hello all,
We’re excited to announce a series of powerful new enhancements adding to the core capabilities of Zoho CRM! These updates are designed to streamline your sales processes, making your work more efficient and productive. Here’s what you can expect:
1. Enhanced duplicate checking for leads
When creating a lead, users can now check if similar details are already present in the Contacts to avoid duplicate entries. In the enhanced "Duplicate Check Preference," users can select Contacts and the specific field to search for duplicates. This ensures the system searches for matching records in Contacts as well, thereby preventing duplicate entries when a record already exists.
2. Dynamic filters for lookup fields
Users can enjoy the convenience of the enhanced lookup and user fields, which can now dynamically provide a tailored list of relevant data for the records they're working on. This real-time adaptation makes it much easier to find and associate the accurate records.
These filters are configured using field values from the lookup module. Field-to-field comparators can be set up to ensure that the most relevant data is displayed for user queries.
3. Richer search experience with precise results and follow-up actions
The latest enhancements in the global search makes finding information in CRM more user-friendly and precise. You can now filter search results based on modules, record names, and tags, and refine results further using additional filters.
Additionally, you can view added context for search results, quickly take follow-up actions, and use improved filtering and sorting options. AskZia, our AI Sales Assistant, can also be accessed directly in global search.
4. New options for more flexible validation rules
We’ve added new configuration options to validation rules for increased flexibility. You can now:
- Quickly validate individual fields
Beneficial when users need to quickly validate an important field before they proceed to other fields. You can select "Field Verify and Save" validation. This will add a "Verify" button next to the field. Upon clicking it, if the input is verified, users can proceed to saving the record.
- Allow the record to be saved with an alert
This is particularly beneficial when the entered value of the field isn't optimal, but you can allow your users to save the record after reminding them of the policy and confirming that they understand it. In the Validation Preference section, you can choose the usual option to stop submitting the record with an error message or opt for the Allow by alert option.
- Decide where the error messages will be displayed
You can choose to display error message near the specific fields or consolidated on the top of the page. Consolidating the validation errors in one place can help users resolve issues arising due to inter-dependencies between the values entered in different fields.
5. Improved data management in analytics
We've added two powerful new features in Zoho CRM Analytics: Component filters and restoring recently deleted components and dashboards.
Component filters allow individual users to apply personalized filters on the dashboard components and obtain the results they need. These filters are dynamic and will not affect the component's configuration. This enhances the flexibility to view different data perspectives on each component, thereby improving data analysis capabilities.
Additionally, if a dashboard or component is deleted by accident or was not required at a certain point but is needed back, it can be easily restored within 30 days, minimizing disruption and facilitating data recovery.
6. Bulk additions and enhanced permissions for subforms
We’re introducing two highly anticipated subform features: bulk additions via lookup and subform permissions.
You can now add multiple entries to a subform all at once via lookup, significantly speeding up data entry and management. For example, a sales rep can now add multiple products to a quote at once, making the process more efficient.
Additionally, administrators can manage subform permissions more effectively, allowing specific roles to view, add, edit, or delete subform data as needed. This ensures that only authorized users can make changes, maintaining data integrity.
7. Advanced filtering with multi-select picklists
You can now filter your data with precision and accuracy with the convenience of displaying values in a dropdown just like in single picklist fields.
In addition to that, we've added the following new operators for the field:
- Includes All: Filters results containing all the selected values from the multi-select picklist.
- Includes Any: Filters results containing any of the selected values from the multi-select picklist.
- Excludes All: Filters results that do not have all the selected values together.
- Excludes Any: Filters results that do not have any of the selected values from the multi-select picklist.
8. Access Lead History post-conversion for improved follow-ups
After conversion, you can now view your lead's history in the Contacts, Accounts, and Deals modules. This enhancement allows CRM users to access comprehensive interaction histories, ensuring they have all the necessary information to provide seamless follow-ups and support. This ultimately enhances the overall quality of customer interactions and support processes.
That's all for the enhancements in this cut. Stay tuned for more updates, and check out the main announcement for detailed information!
Thanks,
Nizamuddin
