1. In a nutshell
You can attach booking pages to your domain for a seamless and professional experience. This allows customers to access your booking system directly through your branded website.

3. Overview
If you already own a domain for your business, you can attach the booking page to your domain. For example, if you own a domain called "mydomain.com," then you can specify a subdomain and have a booking page URL in the format <subdomain>.mydomain.com.
4. Use case
Kevin runs a business called Zylker Consultations and his website's domain name is zylkerconsultations.com. He needs the bookings page to be added to his website so that the customer get a better branding feel. With custom domain mapping, he can host his bookings in bookings.zylkerconsultations and his customers can make bookings in bookings.zylkerconsultations.com.
5. Steps to setup a custom domain
Click the Admin Center icon in the top-right corner of the Bookings menu bar.
Select Custom Domain under Product Customizations.
Enter the preferred URL (your domain name along with a preferred subdomain, such as bookings.zylkerconsultations.com. Here, bookings is the subdomain and zylkerconsultations is the domain.) in the Custom Domain textbox and click Launch. By doing this, you are creating a subdomain in your already existing domain.
Once you click Launch, the below steps will be shown.
Step 1: Add a CNAME in your DNS manager.
Step 2: Add CName/TXT/File in your DNS manager.
Step 1: Add a CNAME record
Log in to your DNS manager account.
Open the Domain Management Page where you update the DNS Records. Based on your provider, it may be called DNS Manager, DNS Control Panel, or Advanced DNS editor.
Add a CNAME record with the following details in your DNS manager. Refer to your domain provider’s help guide for more assistance.

1 | Name/Host/Alias/CNAME | The name you chose for your booking page link. For example, if your domain name is zylkerconsultations.com, and you want the booking page to be anytext.zylkerconsultations.com, then your Name/Host/Alias/CNAME should be anytext. |
2 | Value/Points To/Destination/CNAME | Copy and paste the value generated in your account. (In the above screenshot, it is bookings.cs.zohohost.com) |
3 | TTL (Optional) | If TTL (Time to Live) is editable, reduce it to 300 seconds or the minimum possible value. |
4 | Status | Choose DNS only. This option is available only in a few DNS managers. |
Once a CNAME record is added, you can use any one of the three options in Step 2.
Step 2: Choose any ONE of the three options below.
a. Add CNAME
Add a CNAME record with the following details in your DNS manager

2 | Value/Points To/Destination/CNAME | Copy and paste the value generated in your account. (In the below screenshot, it is bookings.cs.zohohost.com)

b. Add TXT
Create a TXT record with the below details in your DNS manager

2 | Value/Points To/Destination/CNAME | Copy and paste the value generated in your account. (In the screenshot below, it's fr1y5lt.bookings.cs.zohohost.com.) |
3 | TTL (Optional) | If TTL (Time to Live) is editable, reduce it to 300 seconds or the minimum possible value. |
4 | Status | Choose DNS only. This option is available only in a few DNS managers. |
c. Add File
Click the Add File option under Step 2.
Click the verifydomain.html link to download the HTML verification file. This file contains a unique string of numbers and varies for each domain.
Log in to the account with your website hosting provider.
Create a folder in root called zcp.
Upload the file to http://****.****.com/zcp/verifydomain.html
Visit http://****.****.com/zcp/verifydomain.html on your browser, and you should be able to see the code.
After completing Steps 1 and 2, click Verify Now at the top of the same page. A support request will be submitted automatically. Our team will check the mappings and install the SSL certificate. You will receive an email after the installation, and you'll be able to use your custom domain link.
