Exploring WorkDrive Widget in Trident for Mac

In this article, we'll see how the WorkDrive widget in Trident enables you to view all of your WorkDrive files. 

Categorizing WorkDrive Files

By default, all of your WorkDrive files are grouped under the following views:

  • Recent Files: Lists all the files you've worked on recently.
  • Favorites: Lists all the files you've added as favorites.
  • Labels: Lists the files and folders under different labels as per what you've created.
  • My Folders: Lists the folders you've created to organize your files.
  • Shared With Me: Lists the files and folders that members of your organization have shared with you.
  • Teams: Lists all the WorkDrive teams that you are a part of along with their respective files and folders to view and collaborate on (subject to vary based on permissions). 

Uploading Files to WorkDrive

To upload a file:

  1. Click the Upload File  icon.
  2. Browse and select the file to upload.
  3. Click Open.
  4. In the alert that appears, click Upload.

Notes

Note: You can only upload files to the My Folders view. 

Uploading Email Attachments to WorkDrive 

To upload an email attachment to WorkDrive:

  1. Hover over the email attachment that you want to upload to WorkDrive.

  2. Click the More icon that appears.

  3. Select Add to WorkDrive from the menu list.

  4. Browse the location where you want to add the file to.

  5. Click Add

Previewing Writer, Sheet, and Show Documents

You can preview Writer, Sheet, and Show documents from the WorkDrive widget simply by navigating to the view where the file is located and clicking on it. This will open the document within Trident.


Downloading and Printing WorkDrive Files

You can preview, download, and print file formats such as PNG and PDF from the WorkDrive widget. 

To download a file:

  1. Open the file and click the Download icon on the preview header. 
  2. In the dialog that opens, specify the file name and location. 
  3. Click Save

To print a file:

  1. Open the file and click the Print icon on the preview header. 
  2. In the dialog that opens, select the printer, and specify the number of copies, and the page range. 
  3. Once ready, click Print.

Searching for Files and Folders 

To locate your desired files and folders in WorkDrive, type a relevant keyword in the search bar, and all matching results will be displayed in the widget pane.
