Tip of the week 51 - How to customize holiday email templates?
Today, in this digital world, we want images to be perfect and meaningful with respect to the email content that we prepare to send out to our contacts. Some of us would prefer to design email templates that are unique and different. The rest would be choosing pre-designed templates that are available in the email marketing software that they use. Now, how do you select a particular template and how to customize it during this holiday season?
Let's see the steps involved in choosing a pre-designed holiday template and customizing it the way you want it to be.
1. Purpose: Before choosing the template from many, imagine the purpose of what makes you send an email. Moreover, what action do you want your recipients to take once they receive your email? This purpose and the action you expect them to take will help you to decide a template.
2. Style: Look for templates that go well with your brand colour, text and font. Always choose templates that resemble your brand. This will help you to further ease your efforts in selecting a template for sending out your holiday email campaigns.
3. Content: Make sure that the content of your email campaign resonates with the image present in the template. You will have to write content that's clear and simple. Also, use fonts that are clear and choose a background color that supports the font color. This makes the recipients read your content.
4. Test & Preview: Before sending the email campaign, you will have to see if it is mobile-responsive and if the content and theme are in harmony with each other. Also do probe into your subject line, images and GIFs to see if they're working or not, and make corrections before sending it out to your contacts.
