Display text the preferred way with text rotation, indent, and wrapping options

Working with long, textual data in spreadsheets just got better! Zoho Sheet now supports text rotation, indentation, and wrapping options, which you can use to display the text and other values in your spreadsheet exactly the way you want.

Set the right angles

Pick from the given directions or choose a custom angle to rotate the text inside your cells. To quickly repeat the rotation in other cells, simply use the format painter.

Display hierarchy with indentation

Display text in your spreadsheets with the appropriate hierarchy using Sheet's text indent options.

Wrap, clip, shrink

We have added two more options apart from wrap and overflow which you can use to change the way text is displayed in your spreadsheets.

Overflow: This is the default option which overflows the too-long text in a cell to adjacent cells, provided they are empty.
Wrap: When you use the wrap text option, the cell content is contained in the cell and spaced down to the next line.
Clip: Clip prevents the overflow of the text to adjacent cells without changing the cell size. If the text is too long for the cell, this option will "clip" the full text so it will not be displayed.
Shrink to fit: Shrinking, as the name implies, shrinks the size of the text to fit the given cell's size.

Try out these options in your spreadsheets and let us know how helpful they are in the comments below.

We are glad to release the 'Data Validation' functionality in Zoho Sheet. Using this, you could restrict the data that is entered in cells to a specific condition that you set. If it is a numeric cell, you could add numeric constraints like the number should be less than 20, or between 40 and 60, etc. This could be really useful when you have a calculator like functionality on your spreadsheet and expect the input data to fall within a range. Similarly you can set rules on cells with Text and Date
